Abstract
On the basis of modeling approaches for assessment of components of efficiency of transport and communications as a kind of economic activity on macrolevel are considered. Effectiveness in the article is examined as a category that characterizes economic process from a quantitative side in size of cost of its scale product and quality as efficiency of process.
