Abstract
The article deals with the key current trends of the global monetary system functioning in the post-crisis period. The ba-sic directions of its transformation such as preservation of the single currency system, return to the gold standard, regionali-zation of the global monetary system, formation of multicurrency relations, creating a single global reserve currency are analyzed in the paper.
