Abstract

There has been calculated the average corona discharge power loss in 330—750kV power transmission lines with conductors of type ACSR for cases when the number of wires in the bundle conductor is standard or exceeds the standard by one. It is shown that increasing the number of wires in the bundle conductor by one, while maintaining effective cross-section, can significantly improve the line effectiveness. Also there has been calculated the average corona discharge power loss in 330kV power transmission lines with conductor of type AERO-Z. Since the cost of such conductors is six times higher than the cost of ACSR conductors, their usage can be economically justified only in 4—6th areas by icing classification.
