Abstract

There have been considered the issues of the investigation of low frequency power oscillations and their influence on the power system operation modes. The simulation of the power system operating modes has been performed in the 4-machine test power system using the Power Factory software. The search for the optimal parameters of the system stabilizer setting has been made using modern methods of optimization for effective damping of low frequency oscillations.
