Abstract

Theoretical foundations of acid and alkaline catalysis of reesterification reaction of natural triglycerides by the lower alcohols were analyzed in the paper. In case of using cavitation devices in the synthesis of biodiesel an ion-radical mecha-nism of the reaction is suggested and substantiated.
