The article provides an analysis of the experimental tests of spindle supports of a benchtop universal lathe-screw-cutting machine model TB4 using the method of thermal non-destructive testing. The specified normalized values of the heating temperature, used as a determining parameter for monitoring the oil of hydraulic systems and the technical condition of the supports of the spindle assembly of the cutting machine, using the method of thermal non-destructive testing. The paper proposes the determination of the technical condition of bearings of the spindle assembly of desktop lathe-cutting machines using the thermal method using the new Boryak-Peretyaka criterion (“BP”) and the determining parameter — the object heating rate. The results of experimental tests of the machine at idle speed at the control points of the front and rear spindle bearing are given. The laws governing changes in the obtained values of the temperature of the support of the spindle assembly in time and changes in the values of the heating rate in time during the tests without load are studied. Thus, it has been experimentally confirmed that it is possible to exercise control over the technical condition of the spindle unit of the desktop screw-cutting machine TB4 for the reduced time without load in the zone of regular heating, namely from 22 to 42 minutes. The obtained empirical value of the heating rate makes it possible to reliably estimate the possibility of further exploitation of the studied rolling bearings used as the front and rear support of the spindle unit of the TB4 desktop turning screw cutter. Thermal control on the new parameter of heating rate allows reducing the technological time to determine the operational technical condition of the spindle mount supports by saving time 5 times and making the tests energy-efficient. Conducting on-line diagnostics of the regulation of the supports of the spindle assembly according to the heating speed parameter according to the “BP” criterion allows reducing the cost of electricity for testing one machine at the reduced time.
