Abstract

Components of information technology of smoldering slagheaps identification are presented in the paper. It is based on Data Mining methods used for multi-temporal multispectral satellite imagery processing. The structure of automated system is proposed implementing stages of information technology and providing decision support in a problem of space monitoring of slagheaps and other coal fire danger objects. The technology is tested on the Landsat TM/ETM+ multi-temporal satellite imagery for test site of the Donetsk coal basin. The results of experimental studies allowed to reveal smoldering slagheaps with different categories of fire danger and temperature activity.
