Abstract

The design of the strength of normal cross section of centrally compressed reinforced concrete elements (RCE) was investigated by means of extremal criterion within the bounds of deformation model. Descending part of the concrete stress-strain diagram was taken into account. Optimization and numerical methods were used. The influence of cross section form, concrete class and reinforcement percentage on the ultimate strain of cross section compressed part were studied
