Improving the maintenance of vehicles using of remote diagnostics

Abstract

The paper analyzes the modern methods of remote electronic car diagnostics and software tools that are used at the same time. The principle of the remote diagnostic system and its main features are presented. Based on the study of statistics shortcomings in the regulation process of vehicle maintenance are found. It is shown that the algorithm of vehicle maintenance is based largely on regulations of approved vehicle maintenance but does not consider the peculiarities of its operation and history of repairs, which in its turn reduces the efficiency of maintenance. It is proved that the application of remote electronic diagnostics during maintenance enables to adjust schedules and maintenance program and move from a planned to a warning and adaptive strategy TO and R.
