Abstract

The problems of simulation of metal braid in the form of wire wound on a rubber shell, determination of metal braid rigidity, investigation of how rigidity components depend on design characteristics of high-pressure hoses and total rigidity estimations are solved. The obtained data are matched with the results described earlier. Series of graphs describing relationship of braid rigidity and design parameters of high-pressure hose are obtained. Expressions for estimating the rigidity of high-pressure hose with single, double and triple metal braid are suggested
