Abstract
Gas humidity is one of the main parameters measured during gas production, transportation and processing. Today the noncontact methods of humidity measuring including absorption method are widely used. To obtain the necessary sensitivity and accuracy in the construction of humidity sensor it is important to select wavelength considering that radiation is absorbed both by the water vapor and as a result of dry gas, as well as determination of the stroke length of the light beam also plays the significant role. Thereby arises a problem of measuring gas humidity by creating a model of radiation transfer, which would take into account the parameters mentioned above.
The model of radiation transfer in the environment of humid natural gas is suggested in the paper, the conversion formula which makes it possible to calculate the relative humidity at certain temperature and pressure of gas is derived, the wavelength is selected experimentally, and the received values of relative humidity are proved.
