The Technology of Providing the Theoretical Mechanics Course for Engineering Bachelor’s Degree Students on the Platform MOODLE

Abstract

The authors present the results of the implementation of the Moodle-platform educational distance course of theoretical mechanics for engineering students in Donbas State Engineering Academy. In the article, readers will find the explanation of the key educational principles within the digital Moodle platform, the detailed logical guidance for creating such a platform and the description of its structure including theoretical materials, methodical recommendations for practical and graphic-calculated work, tests, glossary, etc. The paper also shows how to organize the individual student work in the most effective way. The methodic of mixed education revealed in the article is aimed at improving students’ ability to gain new knowledge – both fundamental knowledge and practical skills – which is regarded as an important element of their professional learning.
