Abstract

A method and system for optimal control of an electric car moving in a city traffic flow with variable speed caused by traffic lights and impact of vehicles moving ahead of it have been proposed. It has been demonstrated that at any speed of the electric car it is possible to generate current in the anchor of DC traction motor with series excitation that will minimize the accumulator power consumption.
