Abstract

The paper is devoted to soft-decision scheme for QAM demodulator. Algorithm Viterbi based on calculation euclidean distance between received sequence and ideal points on the constellation chart is described. QAM demodulator parameters are examinated for different signal-to-noise ratio. Metrics, points quantity at the time frame and filter bandwidth are recommended for using into practice.
