Abstract

The quantization errors of bitwise balancing ADC with weight redundancy are analyzed. The main types of redundancy positional notation systems (RPNS) and transfer functions of ADC based on redundancy positional notation systems are examined. The quantization errors of bitwise balancing analog to digital conversion are analyzed with help of computer simulation. The analysis of input-output function of ADC based on redundancy positional notation systems with fractional place values, shows that transfer function has several quantization steps, particularly, steps that are equal to one and steps that are less than one. The number of such steps is limited and determined. The fact that probability of quantization errors appearance with values less than one are increasing in ADC with fractional place values, are proved. Frequency distribution of quantization errors is increasing at a smaller quantization steps.
